What NeuralChek® HRV Body Scan Shows

HRV is the tiny variation between heartbeats. It reflects how your autonomic nervous system (ANS), the balance between sympathetic (go/alert) and parasympathetic (rest/restore), is adapting.

  • Higher variability (in the right context) can reflect better adaptability and recovery.

  • Lower variability may suggest load, fatigue, or reduced flexibility.

HRV is not a diagnosis; it’s a wellness metric we use to inform routines and track trends over time.

What to Expect

  • Visit length: Baseline + Review ~45 minutes; Re-Check ~30 minutes.

  • Setting: Calm, seated, relaxed; a simple sensor collects data while you breathe naturally.

  • Review: We’ll explain your results in plain language and outline next steps tailored to your goals (sleep, stress tools, movement, BrainTap® pairing, etc.).

Why Do a Re-Check?

Small, consistent changes add up. A 4–6 week re-check lets us see whether your sleep, stress routines, activity, or BrainTap® sessions are trending your HRV in a helpful direction. We use that feedback to fine-tune your plan.

Safety & Fit

HRV scanning is non-invasive and generally well-tolerated. We’ll review a short consent and make sure this is useful for your goals before proceeding. If it isn’t the right time or tool, we’ll suggest alternatives.

Your First Visit - Step by Step

  1. Complete initial intake.

  2. Complete your remaining information & consents (in Charm, using the HIPAA link in your confirmation).

  3. Janel will coordinate with you and schedule your appointment.

  4. Follow the pre-scan tips above.

  5. Arrive, breathe, relax. We’ll collect your reading and review results together.

  6. Leave with a simple plan, and (if you wish) schedule your Re-Check in 4–6 weeks.

How We Use NeuralChek® HRV Body Scan at Pacific Wellness

  • As a compass: establish a baseline, then make small lifestyle adjustments (sleep timing, breath tools, light movement, BrainTap®).

  • As a progress lens: re-check at 4–6 weeks to see trends and refine your plan.

  • In context: HRV never stands alone. We blend it with your story, symptoms and real-life constraints.

Pre-Scan Checklist (day-of tips)

To get a steady baseline, please avoid for 2 hours before your scan (when possible):

  • Caffeine and nicotine

  • Alcohol

  • Vigorous exercise

Also aim to:

  • Hydrate normally

  • Arrive 5 minutes early to settle in

  • Take any prescribed medications as usual (unless your clinician advises otherwise)

  • No. HRV reflects stress–recovery dynamics; it helps inform routines and track change, not diagnose conditions.

  • Baseline → implement your plan for 4–6 weeks → Re-Check. After that, use it periodically (e.g., quarterly or around big routine changes).

  • It can show trends that support your felt experience (sleep, energy, calm/focus). We’ll use both data and how you feel to adjust.

  • Absolutely. Many clients enjoy BrainTap® 1–2x/week between baseline and re-check to support relaxation and sleep readiness.

  • No. Follow your usual regimen unless your clinician says otherwise. Just follow the 2-hour tips and tell us if you had caffeine/exercise.
